VYP is a volunteer organization lead by a group of individuals with an interest in strengthening the Vermont professional community and helping young people find fulfilling friendships, opportunities, and career satisfaction within the state of Vermont.
As a native to the state, Paul grew up in Brandon, VT before attending R.I.T. in Rochester, NY to study software engineering. He later transferred back to the green mountain state and obtained a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education at the University of Vermont. After first starting his career at a nationally recognized firm, Paul now uses his math and problem solving skills to educate his clients regarding their financial situation as the founder of his own independent, objective financial services firm, Shepherd Financial. Paul enjoys ballroom dance, making chocolate truffles, solving Sudoku puzzles and world domination (when playing the board game Risk). Paul and his wife, Lori, are both active in their local church and currently live in Essex Junction, VT.
After receiving his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, Chris relocated to Rochester, NY where he worked as a designer and project manager of commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects. Chris jumped at the opportunity to return to his home state in 2011 and took a position as a Sales Engineer with Control Technologies. In his free time Chris enjoys hiking & camping with his dog, Crossfit, and cheering on his favorite football team on Sundays.
